I'm pretty decided that I'm going to pick this game up when it is released on the PS4, and I realize that it will probably support trophies. So, to prepare myself, I checked out the list of Steam achievements that came with FFVII. There were some of the basic hard ones that I expected, like defeating Emerald and Ruby Weapons. But there was one achievement on that list that scares me more than that! It's one that I've never accomplished before, never bothered to even try, and completely dread trying to get.
Obtaining Aeris' Final Limit Break.
I mean, seriously. In all of my playthroughs of FFVII, I've never even bothered really leveling up Aeris because I know what happens to her at the end of Disk 1. I don't think I've ever even used Aeris enough for her to gain access to her Level Two Limit Breaks, let alone obtaining all of them. Not to mention that even Cloud is not using his Level Three Limit Breaks and ready for his Ultimate LB until Disk 3! That just means a crazy amount of grinding in the first disk going into a character who is killed off.
Ugh. Not looking forward to that...

The first time I played FF7 I didn't know Aeris died so I leveled her up since I liked her Limit Breaks and it really hurt when she wasn't around so I couldn't use Planet Protector anymore :/

I remember playing 7 with aeris all the wat up to her death. The limit break for her is one of the main reasons I hated it when she died. The invincibility limit for 5 turns is so awesome its too op I think they knew that going in. So she was the best candidate to be killed off.

Im going to be a little over dramatic here warning.... FF7 was my first and still is my favorite FF, and when Aeris died I was shocked, it was a lot for an 8 year old to handle. That was awesome story telling, I am so surprise how much of that game was mistranslated looking back now, however it really made it even more mysterious. I remember when I beat it I still was so confused as a kid. At time I thought I just didn't get it, but now I know it wasn't my fault the game is hard to follow story wise as an adult too. Anyway, I look forward to spending some more time with Aeris before she gets the Shishkabab treatment.
