I played Kingdom Hearts when I was like... 7 years old, and I simply have to many good memories about this game. Seeing all the new HD release that are coming out now are too tempting. I remember all the good times and the bad times, and this came out when I had an emberrassing crush on Sephiroth, lets just say, those super sexy fanfics you guys have been reading, are almost nothing compared to the wonderful Yaoi filled fanfics I tried to read that must include Cloud and Sephiroth... But this game, i sunk so many hours into it, leveled up non stop just to fight Sephiorth in the arena and oogle at that character design. Same with with kingdom hearts 2 when that came out, but I can't say i dabbled to much into all the branching hand-held games. I loved the console games, I played and beat chain of memories when that came out on the Gameboy Advance, but when it got to the other games like birth by sleep and 38 something by 2 days, I just missed out. But now the re-releases, I'm thinking of getting the the 1.5 and 2.5 on the same day and just sit there and have an emotional rollercoaster in remember how great the two games where and hopefully enjoy all the content of the other games and be ready for he 3rd release.
But yea, I better make the thread mean something... In the first Kingdom Hearts game, tell the truth, did you all beat Riku in that first battle on the island, or did he crush you over and over and over and over again.

Well first time i played the game i will admit that Riku royally beat me. But the next time that i played it, i beat him almost every time i fought him. How about yourself?

Yes, when I played after the first time, I actually had a handle on what buttons where on the controller and thoroughly taught him what it meant to be a keyblade master :/

Man! I'll have to see how brutal he is to me. I'm glad to hear about all the good memories you had in the past about old games. It makes me feel less weird about my love for some of these games!

Well I kicked his bitch ass the first time I played it, But after I played KH2 and tried to play it again he destroyed me.

KH1 all the way. it seems like it set out with something and accomplished most of it. The sequel seems to extend the plot unnecessarily to keep it going....which at this point is pretty preposterous

I don't know KH2 was good a little easy maybe, and I thought it made sense in some ways, but others like you said seemed unnecessary I guess it's up to KH3 to have things make sense.

I'll admit I've never played a KH games. I just picked up KH1.5 for PS3 and I'm going to start it today. Hope it lives up to the hype!

I finally started playing this game and all I can say is I wish I played it when it first came out. So far I'm having fun with it, I just made it to Traverse Town. Honestly though, the controls are terrible! Same goes for the camera. I'm sure that if I played it when it first came out I wouldn't have these issues but I'll get over it. Liking it so far!

I know the whole disney part of it put some people off from playing, but come on. Its such a good game.

True, but I love Disney. I didn't like them as much when the games came out though, and is likely the reason for me not playing Kingdom Hearts.

Well..i guess thats fair.. a lil.
I would say get the ps3 remixes for 1 and 2 when it comes out. They fixed the camera problem with 1 in the remix, which is great.
When 2 comes out, itll be packaged with birth by sleep, which was really good.

they fixed the camera? thats fucking awesome I hated that camera. as much as I liked the game that camera was really annoying.
