Hey guys,
Badger here! I'm one of the newer people to the podcast and the forums, so I do apologize if my questions have been answered in advance! I play ffxiv (after years of WoW and FFXI) and was curious, what servers and you guys on, and what do you 'main' majoritily? Are you more hardcore raiders or casuals? I would like to get to know you all a bit better, and make my mark on these forums with helpful advice on what I can!
I'm on Excalibur myself, a former 1.0 player. Level 50 Ilv 113 at current! I want to get through the binding coil story, but I doubt I'll have much time before heavensward!

I just started playing like 4 days ago, I'm a level 18 archer and I'm on the diabolos server. But I'm fully prepared to pay the 20 bucks to jump to a new server when they play it. Hopefully we'll get a lot of us listeners on a server and start a free company, that would be really cool.

yeah i would definitely be down to play. i will be making a new character rather than pay 20 bucks to switch its easier plus i can go through the story all over again and truly enjoy it. looking forward to the grind.

There's a thought, I would really want to know what class everyone would wanna be tho so we could all be in the same starting city. Assuming they do the log in at these times and play the game with us route. I'm sure they will tho. I was also kind of thinking just from the end of their review onwards if the FC would stay playing together I wouldn't want to have invested in two characters. But, 20 bucks is 20 bucks no matter how you look at it.... The game itself cost me 20 Canadian dollars. They aren't worth as much as your American dollars but they sure are colourful.

I'm so torn on what to pick for a character because I have been playing 14 for almost 3 years now and I have fallen in love with warrior. But at the same time I have been thinking about doing a healing class. Also I almost maxed out all my other characters on the balmung sever the only one left is pugilist/monk. So I might do that.

Whenever you guys get to 14 I'm down to help you guys out for anything. Been playing 14 since 1.0 launched and have every class 50 on the brynhyldr server. I doubt I'd make a new character but this game has level syncs.
It might be my favorite final fantasy game so far.

Whenever you guys get to 14 I'm down to help you guys out for anything. Been playing 14 since 1.0 launched and have every class 50 on the brynhyldr server. I doubt I'd make a new character but this game has level syncs. It might be my favorite final fantasy game so far. Very nice. And welcome to the forums!!! |

I couldn't get into the Brynhyldr server, I'm in the Diablos. I posted some of my thoughts in the Heavens Ward thread but is there anyone who's in the Diablos server that can help me out? I've got a lvl 5 pugilist that's aspiring to be a ninja. I have no idea what to buy and have little money so at the moment I'm doing quests and just killing low level monsters.

Just do exactly what you are doing. Train. Till lvl 15 of the main story quests then when you gain access to the 3 main towns start joint a guild / crafting house and start building also make sure to sell all your old ger on the auction house and not the counter sellers they give dirt cheap in returns you make 2-3 x more at the auction house and crafting class will do just start building while you train your class in the main quests. |

Thanks man! I was totally lost, good thing the game is gorgeous looking and sounding, or I would have been like this is the end. This is my first mmo I've never played a game with so many menus. I wasn't sure what or where to buy and sell either I'm glad you confirmed that for me.
