Godzilla King of the Monsters? Do you really prefer that over the original Godzilla, before they stuck Raymond Burr in it? King of the monsters is a pretty awesome cult classic, but the original movie it was made from has to be one of the greatest monster films of all time with the original King Kong and Jaws! Fucking love Godzilla.

Fucking love Godzilla. I like both of them but since the Raymond Burr one was my first Godzilla movie i saw it holds a special place to me. The only real difference between the 2 is the added scenes with Raymond in the American version as well as the anti Nuclear message being better expressed in the Japanese version(Also the areas where the new scenes are sliced in can be jarring). And while the Japanese version may be better overall I still enjoy the American better(even though i can admit it may not be as good from a technical standpoint) :-) Honestly i love giant monster movies was tempted to fill 5-7 spots with Toho and Daiei monster films, a lot of American monster films were close as well, one of my near top 10 was "THEM" and "King Kong"(1933). Ps: Good podcast for Godzilla fan "KaijuCast" or the "Godzilla Podwar Hour" love them both these were among my first pod-casts i found and I love them they go into alot of Japanese Films definitely worth a look :-)
