Whos better Shinryu, or Omega? (I'll just do things that aren't characters, I forgot there were character battles in the forums!)

Whos better Shinryu, or Omega? (I'll just do things that aren't characters, I forgot there were character battles in the forums!) Omega and Shinryu are both superbosses in Dawn of Souls, Omega was easier to beat for me as once i kinda got the jist of his attacks was more a matter of time till i could fell him. So going to put my money on Shinryu. Your question in fact comes down to defense vs attack(sword vs shield). As there HP is equal. Omega has a wicked defense(190) but it's attack is only (115), while Shinryu defense is only (60) with an attack at (220). Both have magic defense of 220. Omega will definitely take longer but the fight itself will be easier to win, Shinryu on the other hand will beat the shit out of you so quicklly that your head will spin if under leveled as his attack are devastating, not to disrespect Omega who is a hard boss. Looking at abilities: Omega has Earthquake(Shinryu is immune) Wave Cannon (Deals 200-300 damage) Shinryu has Icestorm, Thunderbolt, Tidal Wave, Flare(While OMEGA has strong magic resistance he is weak against lightling like most machines so Shinyu has an advantages in abilities) So my money is on Shinryu his overall strength and Omegas vulnerability to lightning would be the 2 deciding factors not to say that Shinryu won't take a beating himself. |

Lore-wise though I think Omega gets the edge as he was created with the specific purpose of defeating Shinryu.

Yep it is a nice piece of Lore indeed didn't even know about it till i actually looked up the info thanks to your post. But as Shinryu and Omega are still wandering the world we can assume they never actually fought. And personally i tend to like Shinryu's design a lot better them Omega. Either way it is something we could easily speculate a lot on. |

I'll give you the satisfaction and say Shinryu as well. He was infinitely tougher in FF X than Omega.
