Hopefully I'm posting this in the correct area...
Anyway I was somewhat surprised by how interesting I found the interview to be. Some of his information did surprise me for sure. I did know that the sephiroth that killed everybody in the Shinra tower was Jenova physically, but I didn't know that Sephiroth actually overpowered her will with his own. I figured Jenova was manipulating events through the guise of Sephiroth, which explained why Sephiroth was merely stuck in a funky blue orb thing at the northern crater. That still kind of brings up another question though: if Sephiroth was manipulating Jenova this whole time, why was he obsessed in finding her and completing her legacy in FFVII and to a lesser extent Advent Children? You don't need to address advent children since it's a bit out there but that still seems like a fair question. I guess his ultimate goal was to become a god but it still seemed like he was trying to fulfill Jenova's ambition.
Outside of that, he really piqued my interest in what the story/dialogue of the game was really supposed to be. I'm hoping they redo that whole area for the remake as well beacause it sounds like there was really some great stuff that non-japanese players missed out on. I feel kind of bad that Daniel was so downtrodden about all the future FF stuff, but hopefully eventually he'll buy a PS4 and give one of the new games a chance.

I agree the interview was very interesting. Listened to it twice. I DO wish they had kept it going a bit longer though. Anybody else feel the same? Kaleb, Joe, any particular reason you capped it at (what I think was) around 40 mins? Most podcast interviews I've listened to tend to be longer.

I had work soon and we hadn't discussed with him beforehand how long the interview was to be. I do wish we could've talked longer, but it was my schedule that kept us from that.

Yeah good episode, I sorta knew some of the things since I was confused on the FF7 story a few times and would often read the translated Ultimania and Wiki fan pages on Sephiroth, Jenova and the FF7 story.

Sooooo you got any other interview ideas then? Or do you think he would be up for a second interview sometime? Outside of what we actually heard, did it seem to you and Kaleb like he enjoyed doing the interview?

I think he really enjoyed it, and you can ask him if he'd want to. He's a member of our forum. DLPB

This was probably one of my favorite episodes yet, guest was very knowledgeable and got to respect someone with the dedication to get on the forums to answer more questions after the interview, cool dude for sure.

This was a great interview guys. I learned so many things about 7. I also was confused when seohiroth looked to be showing up everywhere in the game with no explanation of how he got there. But now I understand. Thanks for the interview guys and thank you Daniel for informing us on the real story of 7 that not many people could figure out in the original English translation. Here is hope ing for more interviews to come.

I also liked the interview for the wealth of information that he brought to the table. It's something to play the game for years and accept the story for what it was. It's like a revelation to realize how different that story could have been and in fact, is. I downloaded the mod and will be using it during my next playthrough.

I loved the interview too, hope to hear more in the future! Learned alot that I didn't know had I not listened to the interview. The best part was that the dialogue felt very natural and the conversation flowed perfectly. Good work guys!

Hi. I've forgotten my other account password, and I don't use the email associated with that account anymore, so I'm rather screwed. It's time for an update. Here goes: 1. Reunion R06 will be out soon; it includes a full replacement for the original buggy audio engine. I've coded in a ton of bug fixes. The entire modding method is also going to change, because I've become more adept at programming. R06 is still not the finalized localization, which I honestly thought was done and dusted. More fool me. R07 will be the finalized localization with properly placed dialogue boxes. I'll be making a video series of the entire story, part by part, soon. 2. We now have a proof checker, known as Charlie Beer / Shikun. He is working wonders to uncover the remaining mistakes and niggles. To my horror, and shame, there have been a few big ones. I am continually updating The Reunion Database (also see tabs at the bottom), noting the medium or major errors. docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1DUjmyW94zcYoX7gIW5yAT4giTPeNmCR4TCaHAiXOLlU/edit#gid=1292658812The biggest error Luksy and I made was to miss the fact that Red XIII is pretending to be older than he is to Cloud and the gang, up until Cosmo Canyon, where he drops the act. That's why the Yuffie quest, and Fort Condor, have two entries for him—one for Red, and one for Nanaki. This is being dealt with. 3. Work has finally begun on other optional mods, such as script difficulty modifications, and the Soldier Quest (collecting 99 hidden model Shin-Ra soldiers). 4. I am a little better at speaking now. That interview I did rather annoys me. I don't ramble as much, and I get to the point a bit better 5. Sephiroth is indeed pronounced "Sef-i-roth". I used to say that myself until a few years ago. Why I changed, I have no idea! It's quite obviously "Sef", and not "Sep", when you look at the Hebrew and even the Japanese Kana. 6. My grammar is far better now, thanks largely to Qhimm member Covarr. This is another thing that R07 will address. To be blunt, the current localization is full of comma splices and other mistakes I didn't even know were mistakes two or three years ago! Yes, the finalization of this project really is going to happen at some point next year. Once and for all. 7. I'm still shit at public relations, and I'm still getting a bit of abuse from certain quarters—but I kinda dish it back anyway, so can't complain. Maybe it's time for a new interview haha. I really did enjoy the interview! The interviewers were great. I just wish I were less rambley and more to the point in it. My slight OCD and anxiety seem to make me a bit OTT, I feel. Hopefully, now that I have a bit more experience, I can, you know, not do it.
