May have been asked before but I'm new to the forums lol hard to choose a favourite to be honest so you can list a few  ? mine would be..... fF10- Wandering flame, such a beautiful piece of music, really sucks you into the game......FF10-2- Eternity memory of light waves, again beautiful piano piece and suits the world it's in and last but not least FF8 Liberi fatali, so so epic for the intro, gives me goosebumps thinking about the first time I started the game. They could be subject to change in the future as I haven't heard all the FF soundtracks so tell me what u think? |

You haven't listened to most of the FF soundtracks?! Ugh, what a delight for you! Enjoy them. It's tough for me to just pick a few pieces of music because I love so much of it, but I have to go with Liberi Fatali because it's epic as fuck, I also really really love the song Theme of Love from FF4.

You Are Not Alone from IX is so epic...I've seen it at Distant Worlds and it's so stunning.
Devil's Lab from VI was also really unique, and Terra's Theme is also a fav.
As for the songs that have words- I liked Melodies of Life a lot, and have always liked 1000 Words. Shoot me.
All of the music, basically.

One winged angel ff7 is definetly my favorite. Like seriously can anything be more epic than that song playing in the background while the battle against sephiroth, that we all have been anticipating, is going down. Close 2nd and 3rd choices for me would be Zanarkand FF 10 (probably the best intro song next to ff9s), and FF7 Cosmo canyon (no explanation needed).
But I gotta say that FF type 0s soundtrack is spectacular with some of the best atmospheric tone setting music that final fantasy needs. I want to say that it is probably the best FF soundtrack since FFX. My favorite so far in the game is Strengths and Weaknesses.

Absolutely blew my mind, and took a few times listening to it to really get it. I also like the Japanese version of Melodies of Life- just something about how the song flows better. |

I actually really do like Suteki Da Ne. It's a beautiful piece of music. I am also a fan of Suteki Da Ne. I didn't hear the English version until about...2 years ago. Whoops I guess I spelled that wrong my bad. I think both japanese and english versions are great. Goes fantastic with the whole scene, as unrealistic as that kissing scene was. It took this podcast to make me realize that FFX, especially because of the music and the love story, is my favorite FF game. As for melodies of life, I was thinking initially that it was in FFXIII, but I googled it and see that it's in FFIX. I'm listening to the english version but this song is beautiful, too. Going to have to try the Japanese one. |

FFX- Summon Beast Battle, Macalania, Calm Before the Storm, Twilight, Inside Sin.
FFIX-Heaven's Tower
FFXII- Sochen Cave Palace, Esper Battle, To The Place of Gods.
All time is between Time Compression, Anxious Heart, and Memoria.
