Cool, I'll probably check it out anyway, after work I'll be doing a lot of early grinding on XIII You can't really grind much in FF13 since there is a level cap that slowly unlocks gradually until you get to the end of the game. I'd put off grinding until you reach the end of the game and just focus on fighting every enemy you encounter and you'll be fine.

I'd put off grinding until you reach the end of the game and just focus on fighting every enemy you encounter and you'll be fine. Once you get to the Gappra whitewood you can start some moderate grinding. I like to max out the cap and then have like 3-5000 cp in the pot because remember, unlike FFXII, whatever exp you earn, the other characters who aren't in your party also earn. And I don't mean a real time consuming grind, I get to the end of gappra whitewood, prior to the boss fight, and just simply run back to the beginning, and then run right back through it. Later, when you fight in Hopes house Is another grind spot, especially for items that give you money and I'll spend few hours in the Ark grinding later on. The idea, to me, is to have has much CP available by the time you get to the end of the Ark or the beginning of Gran Pulse, so that you can access "death" for Vanille as early as possible. The earlier that you access that, the earlier you can start making ultimate weapons early on. Which that early grind, makes it easier on the way, and contributes to 100% the game.
Not to mention a lot of these areas you can never return to during the game and I find doing a little grinding, enjoying the background and music, as well as trying different tactics definitely makes the game feel a lot less linear. The way I play it I don't feel it all.

So bummed I missed FFXIII last Wednesday. The time zone difference is the worst- even though it's only 2 hours, I'm such an early riser that past 10:30 pm I'm an absolute zombie. Maybe I'll try for this weekend though- do you guys get on in the evenings?

My lap top was acting really stupid last night, didn't get to watch much. I'll finish watching it today and hopefully catch it live tonight or tomorrow.

I have a fair amount of work ahead of me, so I have to hunker down and play.

Well, I WANT to play. I don't have to platinum the game. And the trials are enjoyable.
