So! With Final Fantasy XIII just around the corner, I thought it would be nice to discuss our favourite Paradigm decks. I posted this in the Tactics you might need section talking about ATB Refresh and whatnot, but here is my favourite deck; Relentless Assault ( COM RAV RAV) Relentless Assault Decimation ( COM RAV SYN) Decimation Discretion ( COM MED MED) Discretion COM to stabilise the Stagger bar, RAV to increase it, SYN for buffs, and MED for healing in an instant. Sometimes I would useCombat Clinic ( SEN MED MED) instead of Discretion if I was had an 'o shit' moment. What Decks do you guys use and why? Here is a list of all the possibilities. Go wild! |

Great topic! I really don't need the refresh because I usually switch at that right time, here goes mine.
Relentless Assault - RAV RAV COM
Diversity- RAV MED COM
Ruthless- RAV SAB COM
Assassination - RAV SAB SAB
Espionage - SYN SAB SAB
Tri-Disaster- RAVx3
This is my set up on my platinum file with Lightning, Vanille, and Fang. I don't rely on the synergist role much, but later on Light learns haste. I usually stay in Ruthless for the most part, it's the best IMO especially with Vanille with the belladonna rod. If it's a tough battle I may switch diversity for combat clinic.

Cool! I like to use the refresh to make battels a bit quicker. The platinum is a bit of a sore subject for me... My husband pulled out the plug on my PlayStation3 while it was doing a system updateand I lost my save file.  I only had one quest to 5* and to pluck up the courage to defeat the Long Gui. I usually start the battle with a Synergist in the party to get the buffs on then switch to Relentless Assault. I agree that it's the best. |

I lost my platinum file too but good thing the trophies save. The file I have now is practically platinum, I just sold stuff I wasn't supposed to, but already have the trophy so it was okay. Lon Gui isn't too bad once you have Fangs weapon maxed our with a genji glove.

I think that's what I had been working on when it went kaput. And that was the days before PlayStation+ and auro upload! (Well days before I had it).

Great topic! Story aside, which was the biggest buzzkill for me for FF XIII, I loved the battle system. I didn't really use the Synergist or Sentinel much, and only used the Medic and Saboteur when necessary. My favorites were:
Relentless Assault- RAV RAV COM (This is also one of my favorite MTG cards)
Aggression- COM COM RAV
Cerberus- COM COM COM
Always on the offense.

Great topic! Story aside, which was the biggest buzzkill for me for FF XIII, I loved the battle system. I didn't really use the Synergist or Sentinel much, and only used the Medic and Saboteur when necessary. My favorites were: Relentless Assault- RAV RAV COM (This is also one of my favorite MTG cards) Aggression- COM COM RAV Cerberus- COM COM COM Always on the offense. Well chica you and me are exactly alike on battle style offense is the best defense. No holds bar gun and run into the fray all day. |
