Those are some of my favorites. I would love those to be blurays if only to expand my collection. Was walking around target and started noticing them. I started picturing you running around the corner, arms loaded with blurays.

Since this seems to have become about movies, here is my top 10 "Desert Island" list (the movies I could watch on repeat and never get sick of) The Princess Bride Casablanca Singing In the Rain High Fidelity Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (For the purpose of this list I only included one, but you could throw the whole trilogy in there) Stardust Wall-E (Though Big Hero 6 could usurp this spot, I'll reserve that judgement for a second viewing) The Dark Knight Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (again, Lord of the Rings rule applies) Up in the Air I have a massive movie collection (approx. 500 - 600 actual purchased movies) all in nice crates, and I'm slowly converting them over to Blu-Ray. That being said, I love the cinema experience, and when I strike it rich, I'm damn sure going to be building an actual home theatre! Yay, Pwincess Bwide. I don't know how many copies of this movie I have. All of them? I remember it being one of the few movies I owned on VHS.

I owned the VHS, then I purchased the DVD, the Special Edition DVD, the Anniversary DVD, the Blu-Ray, the Special Blu-Ray, the Anniversary Blu-Ray, and then the re-release Blu-Ray. All in the name of extra features! ... I'm pathetic... HOWEVER, on that note, I learned my lesson about rebuying movies. With Lord of the Rings, I waited until the trilogy extended came out on blu-ray, and i'll wait for the extended trilogy of the hobbit... But then that will give us the inevitable 6-pack... Ugh. I don't think I can wait that long

That image of Craig is easily imagined. I remember telling Joe that Kaleb C went out and bought a bunch of blurays, just to see if Joe would pick up more. It's sort of a bluray race around these parts.

Yeah but then if you ask Joe he says its not. I just saw princess kaguya yesterday, and I can say its one of the most amazing ghibli films, and may even be the best one.

Finding the original unchanged edited versions were difficult its best to get those when they came out.

There are really awesome recuts of Star Wars online, where they took many different sources and recut the originals in HD quality. Go check them out!

I believe during one of the extras in Return of the King, Jackson hinted at the extra stuff that would be added to the 25th anniversary editions. I am all for them. I hardly buy new media now, so I don't mind picking them up (though I will probably wait for a massive price drop). I may ignore the DVDs if they get reworked like the original Star Wars did.

I hope Disney releases an unchanged starwars. I think the only movie I bought twice was Scott pilgrim. Are any of you following Clone Wars or Rebels? I have not seen Rebels yet, but the first episode of Clone Wars with Yoda and the Clone Troopers really felt like Star Wars to me. That episode, and keeping in mind that it is a kids' show, kept me going even when the going was lumpy. The last couple of Lost Mission episodes are really dark, too. Seeing the empire form was pretty cool. I really liked the releases of the fist two seasons. All the extras and the art books. But that ended for Season 3.
