Well, I was a route saleaman for a bread company until I broke down and realized I didn't need that much money with no time to do the things that matter. But now I will merchandise with the same company until I get my outlet manager position back.

Currently a file clerk for a small doctor's office. It's boring, but at least it allows me to listen to podcasts while on the job.

Nice! sounds like its tough though. Yeah... I miss it when I don't do it, but complain when I do. A job, right? Being in the classroom is awesome. Its all the lesson planning, test development, and grading that is a pain. I am lucky when I spend one hour at home for each hour I spend working. But when crunch time comes, like it has been for the last three weeks (working 7 hours every Saturday for free), I just remind myself that I get paid enough an hour that I am still making better money if I count all the time I work off the clock. One of my majors was Anthropology in school (focus on culture). So even though I am technically a historian who wants to teach math, but ended up teaching English, I enjoy just talking to all the people I meet from different countries and cultures. The students also enjoy talking to each other, and everyone is practicing their listening and speaking skills so everyone is happy. I don't just spend each day talking, but it is nice to fall back on it. I have had some lessons that just sucked. I mean if I am bored teaching it, then the students must be doubly so. During times like that, it is nice to know I can just literally through the lesson plan in the trash and talk about anything with them. "This is how we do this thing in America. How do you do it in you country? Why? Let's compare your country, America, and one of your classmates." Wash, rinse, repeat.
