Curious to see what peoples top 10 RPGs are, can be any game for any system as long as it follows 3 rules.
1 Levels or character statistics that could be improved over the course of the game
2 A central quest that runs throughout the game as a storyline
3. An interactive world you can explore.
I am actively seeking new RPG's to play and figured this would be a fun way to help me pick what to buy.

4. Dragon Age Orgins
5. Chrono Trigger

Not my personal Top 10 but very good JRPGs that I suggest everyone should play.
Final Fantasy series (I dunno how many you have played, play FFV if you haven't yet)
Xenoblade Chronicles
Xenogears
Legend of Dragoon
Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne (or Digital Devil Saga)
Tales of Phantasia
Chrono Trigger
Persona 4 (best in the series 3 is also good)
Kingdom Hearts series start with 1
Ys Seven
Paper Mario Thousand Year Door
Star Ocean 2
Breath of Fire 3
Suikoden 2
Dark Cloud 1-2

Top Ten is a mighty list to write. These are not ranked, simply five awesome RPGs that I have played. Final Fantasy series Legend of Dragoon (which is all the rage on these forums right now) Vagrant Story Valkyrie Profile See the theme here.... And Demon/Dark Souls (haven't played Dark Souls 2) I own Valkyrie Profile and still have never finished it...great game though!! Oh man, RPGs are my thang so here's what I'm thinking not in any particular order... Nice picks, most i have played, heard great things about Skies of Arcadia still need to play it. And Dragon Age i only played Orgins ...a lot lol and most of the downloadable content, hopefully once i play a bit more will move on to Awakening then to the other 2 games.
Now Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne is something i am very interested in, not a fan of the style i have seen in clips but my friends have been recommending it for a long time and i defentlly need to check it out at least.
Either way thanks for the names defentlly got a few more for my list :-)

Rogue galaxy was really fun! so many weapons to build..so many I felt like I was addicted to crack when I started combining weapons. I'm a completionist so I sunk a lot of hours into that part of the game. That and putting the factory together to create your weapons! |
