I started out with an NES! FFI was actually my first final fantasy, and probably one of my first five games I ever played in my life. My favorite console, overall, I'd say was the ps2, but primarily because I could play all my ps1 games on it. Plus the addition of some of the better releases on that console. Eh, no. The ps1 was and is my favorite in terms of games. Wait, sorry is the PS2 or PS1 your favorite? That was a bit ambiguous haha. Kudos for playing the very first FF first though. Still have not played 1-3 and I highly doubt I ever will You should play them FF1 and FF2 take like 10-15 hours and 20 hours to complete. FF3 on PSP is really nice.

I like the ps2 for some of its games and backwards compatibility, but ps1 is my favorite in terms of the games that were specifically on given systems.

I've thought about it since I have a junk PSP that I don't use. I just am worried it won't be good. All I have for the PSP is crisis core, War of the Lions, and Birth by Sleep. BBS was large waste of 40 bucks but the other two I got combined for 12 so that was a good deal at least. Maybe I'll look at reviews for FF3

You should pick up Dissidia as well. I have about all those PSP games too. Those games are the only reason I ended up getting a PSP.

I got it for all the FFs and kingdom hearts but BBS was just so corny. The heart stuff was cool in I and II but Aqua made me want to rip my hair out. Crappy character development and extremely one dimensional. And the worlds were really bland.

I played on Critical mode btw.

This is a good question thread I love the replies in here I agree. This is one of those posts that just fits this type of group so well. All of us obviously enjoy games to the extent that we play them often, listen to a hyper specific podcast about them, and write about them at length. That being said this question asks us to consider our roots as gamers and I like actually hearing all the smiles people have talking about how they got into gaming. It's a dose of positivity.

It was mainly the story in my opinion though. I couldn't finish DDD either because the story was silly and I hated free motion. Had 3 party members in that (sort of) but still didn't like it. Maybe it's just the lack of Donald and goofy. After KH 1 none of them felt truly dieney
