What's your favorite non-Final Fantasy JRPG?
For me it's either Bravely Default or Chrono Trigger. It's kind of funny since both of those sort of have a Final Fantasy lineage anyway. What about you guys?

Super Mario RPG Legend of The Seven Stars Game was so epic and it didn't take itself too seriously so much to explore as well and compared to the other games i played it was years ahead of it's time. Not to mention the cool secret boss or fighting alongside Bowser and all the other Nintendo cameos :-) Spent like 2 years playing and replaying it as a kid.
....Heard good things about Bravely Default think someone mentioned a feature to turn down the encounters or up is that in the game? Seem like a neat concept as well as heard a lot of other positive talk amongst friends about it :-)

Can it be a series? Super hard to pick just 1 or 2 specific games.
Series would be the Star Ocean or Tales of games.

I would crank it up to max when I wanted to grind and turn it down to zero when I just wanted to push through the story. I wish more games took this approach.

PERSONA! - In Fuuka's voice. I've had Persona 4 sitting untried on my Vita for almost a year now. I feel bad. I need to get around to trying it.

Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinistrals. Words can't express how awesome and underrated this game is. Get the ROM on SNES emulator if you have to. I promise you won't regret it!

Chrono Trigger by a landslide for me. Favourite game of all time I was introduced to FFVI and Chrono Trigger at the same time. Nostalgically they will always be my top 2 games, and I find it hard not to play one with out the other. Did you ever try to read through Radical Dreamers?

I have been fighting the urge to buy the special editions of Persona Q and Dancing All Night. It's been easier since I am so far behind in games and books. I will just wait for them to drop to 20 bucks. It's hard for me to justify buying an 80 dollar rhythm game.

It helped when I was trying to make sense of the often confusing world that is Chrono Cross.

Chrono Cross is a nightmare without using Radical Dreamers as a reference point.

I would have to go with the Shadow Hearts series. A JRPG set in modern times, and great characters.

Yes, and I lived that nightmare. Hopefully the guys take it into account. I have only seen it as a text document. Maybe the guys will read it between there Trigger and Cross playings. Must fight urge to go play those games immediately....
