Yay for anime! I love it. I don't know if I necessarily feel like listing off everyone I've watched but currently I'm watching Tokyo Ghoul, Free! Iwatobi Swim Club, Sailor Moon Crystal, annnnnnd Tenchi Muyo! Really, I'm re-watching Muyo because it's one of my favorites from years back.
Let's see I also am into... Death Note, Natsumi Yujinnchou (this is a newer, beautiful heart touching anime), Fushigi Yuugi, Cowboy Bebop, Deadman Wonderland, and more.

Outlaw Star is amazing! I haven't watched it in years, I may have to re-watch it sometime soon. Madoka Magica is also a newer anime that's really really good! You think it's going to be this cutesy magical girl anime and then BAM it's the most depressing thing, ever.

Just ordered Cowboy Bebop. I have seen it a couple times already, and I watch the movie every October. Hopefully I watch it again and not just let it sit on the shelf.

I felt like I mentioned that show on the forums a long time ago but I guess not. I haven't watched any anime since Naruto went off the air 6 or 7 years ago, but I explicitly remember Outlaw Star coming onto Toonami and me just loving it. Unfortunately I was 9 and my mom was less than thrilled with the maturity of the show. But 5ish years ago I went back and watched it again and it was still good. But did they cancel it after like 1 season or something?

I posted this in another area of the forum but i figured I'd copy and paste it to this area since it is more fitting I'm a relatively casual anime watcher and I don't watch anime for the sake of it being anime. I usually only watch if I hear something about a certain series and then check it out. And yes I am more into the "mainstream" anime that most hardcore fans tend to frown on in my experience.
-DBZ I love everything about this series, dragon ball, dbz, even dbgt. I am also a fanatic for the games. I also believe dbz might be the single most influential anime ever
-Yu Yu Hakusho Complete perfection in my mind as far as anime goes. It has everything i could ever ask for
-Gundam G I do not like any other gundam series really other than this one. And I think it is because gundam g is considered to be the least gundam in the series and is an outlier. It also has alot of dbz influences lol.
-.Hack sign Not really much action in this one although battles do take place. It is more a mental journey that is a breath of fresh air. I also love to very aspect of the .hack games on ps2
-sword art online Very similar to hack sign but with way more action and a good love story throughout. Have yet to watch sword art online 2
-Attack on Titan -just a great anime. Came out of nowhere but it seems everybody is talking about this one nowadays. Great balance of action and emotion that grabs you to feel empathy for the characters. The Japan only game for the anime looks awesome too if anyone has seen it
-Full metal Alchemist Brotherhood Simply put its a great show. Not my personal favorite but I think it might be the most well rounded anime I've ever watched
-Trigun Good old school anime. My sister introduced me to it and it is her personal favorite
On a side note. WE NEED A LEGIT FF ANIME. I mean ff unlimated is fine and all but I want something that is so good people want a game made that is based on the show

Which Fate anime is good Fate anime?
I swear I saw something on Crunchyroll a year ago that caught my attention. I tried to watch Fate/Zero on Netflix, but could not stay for the rest. Stay the Night is up on Netflix, too, but I was told by a friend that it might be a bit ecchi.
Also, Psycho-Pass. Should I keep watching it? I am 4 episodes in and so far it just feels like a gory Minority Report.

I also tried watching Psycho-Pass- someone recommended it and said it got really good later in the series- but I hate that. I dislike having to wait half the series for it to get good. I agree with your assessment- gory Minority Report indeed.

Everyone has brought up a lot of my favorite Anime like cowboy bebop, trigun, fruits basket, dragon ball.. not a whole lot of mention of Chobits. This series got me hooked on anime! yeah its cutesy and cheesy but there are a few really deep episodes that makes you wonder, what if androids where the next PC?
ALSO I'm pretty sure no one has mention Big-O, This is a great series (if you like big fighting robots and monsters)!

Chobits! Yes! Such a cute series. That one and Serial Experiments Lain- definitely two anime ahead of their time as far as computers/technology concepts go.

I watched a few episodes of Chobits many ages ago. I was just getting into Anime and sampling the available fair. I'll go check it out again.
Did anyone watch The World God Only Knows? I know it's a harem anime, but it seems to make fun of the genre and dating sims in general. Then I got hooked and felt really bad for the protagonist in the end. I almost jumped into the manga just so the story could continue (with possibly a happier ending).

Stay the Night is up on Netflix, too, but I was told by a friend that it might be a bit ecchi. Chronologically Fate/Zero prequels /Stay Night. But you're supposed to watch /Stay Night first. F/SN Unlimited Blade Works is the most recent adaptation. Really solid, lots of action, it's a fairly good entry point into the series. As far as ecchi, I can just say that minus Rider's cleavage, there isn't much fanservice. There's a few H-scenes from the Visual Novel that never made it into the anime for pretty obvious reasons, so you're pretty safe on that stuff. But if you're looking for a series to get lost in, I'd definitely recommend getting into the Fate series if you're big on anime with expansive lore/mythology and are heavy on universe building.

I should list a few that haven't been mentioned yet. Midori Days is excellent. Kanon (2006), Another, and for the love of anime avoid the Mardock Scramble Trilogy
